About Dr. Steven Barnes

Dr. Steven Barnes was born and raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thoma Jefferson High Schoo in 1987.  He attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa where he was captain of the wrestling team and a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biology degree in 1992.

Dr. Steven Barnes has been a licensed doctor of Chiropractic since 1999.  He attended  Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated in 1998.  He started his practice here in Council Bluffs in January, 1999.  He opened Loess Hills Chiropractic at 2901 North Broadway in April of 2000.  Dr. Barnes is committed to serving the local community as a dedicated Doctor of Chiropractic.  Dr. Barnes and his wife Venus were recently blessed with a son, Steven Michael Ray, and a daughter Sophia Cae.

Dr. Steven Barnes has successfully treated neck and back pain, sciatica, headaches, extremity problems, and pain produced by trauma.  He is an experienced Chiropractor utilizing a variety of methods including: Gonstead, Diversified and Activator.  He enjoys treating all age groups, ranging from 1 week to 90 plus years and emphasizes stretching and strengthening exercises as well as adjustments.
